Finally, people, I am in India. Yin-du, if you like it pronounced in Chinese. Lol.

At Bangalore International Airport, weather was cooling like in Genting Highlands!

Thank you all for your prayers and wishes, I had arrived in India last week. So, today is actually my sixth day here. I didn’t get to go online because the Wifi which is provided by the hostel was not on till few days ago. However, I couldn’t access the internet because I need an access card with the password which I heard we wouldn’t be getting anytime soon. One week is long enough for me to not go online so, I went to subscribe a broadband. Long story short, here I am, back here at LynthiaWong.com!

First meal in Mangalore, I only ate one quarter of it. Lol.

Yin-du is so far so good for me. Seriously, Yin-du is better than I expected. Except for some of the locals, wet weather and muddy place. The word dirty is no longer foreign to me here. But, fear not because my hostel here is all new and clean. Same goes to the shopping malls here too.

Going out shopping with umbrellas, we can’t risk getting drenched all the time.

So far, I am not feeling homesick. But, I definitely miss family and friends back home loads. Classes will officially start next week. This week’s are just orientations on respective subjects. I can’t wait to start learning something new. Something that I know I will be doing for the rest of my life.

My comfy bed!

Welcome to Yin-du, welcome to university life, welcome to dentistry.

Welcome to the new chapter of my life.

Farewell

Before I start writing about my new chapter of life in India, I want to write something and put up some photos here. Hope this will distract you all while I am on my way to India.  I am feeling quite calm at the moment. I just hope I don’t cry when I bid goodbye because it’s not the best thing to do for me. I want to leave this place feeling happy and excited of what’s in-store for me. It’s not like I’m not coming home anymore!

I’m going to look this happy in India too!

Soon, a new chapter awaits me in the land of India. It’s not going to be easy but I know God is there for me all the time.

I will not be distracted of what I am supposed to do in India. I will do my best there!

Farewell to my beloved family and friends. I will miss all of you back home. Worry not for I will take care of myself. God will take good care of me in India. I pray that God will be with you all always and watch over you all. Take care and God bless!

People have been over-reacting when I mentioned that I check calories for most of the food I eat. They thought it’s outrageous and useless. But, I proved them wrong, still proving them wrong and will continue to prove them wrong. I managed to lose almost twenty kilos and look different than previously. I cannot say I look good, I’m skinny now. No, not even close. But, I am healthier than how I used to be and I really thank God for the seed of self-control He planted in me.

I still have a long way to go and I am going to run this race in India. I really hope I can keep this up and prove to those who doubt me wrong. As for right now, I think I can afford and ready to put up before and after pictures of me.

To those out there who are struggling with their weight, never give up. I might not be in the right position to say this yet because I am not slim enough but, it never hurts to give some words of advice. Scrap away all the short-cuts. No starving, no slimming pills, no slimming centres. Short-cuts will only give you temporary effects. Exercise is the best way to lose weight and alongside, eat healthy, balanced meals. Simple that’s it.

Best of all, commit it to God and have a positive attitude towards losing weight.

I had a change of mind. I mentioned before that the next thing I will most probably write about here is India. But, I couldn’t resist not to write anything till I am in India because it’s such a long time (probably for three or four days) and I will probably not get the internet as soon I am there.

Seeing how my friends are enjoying India now makes me feel much better. And they have been wonderful, giving advices and tips about the place. If I say I am not excited, then I would be bluffing. I must admit that even though I am heavy-hearted to leave home, I am still quite excited about going there. There is still a slight anticipation in me about leaving to India. Paradox, I know.

Alright, enough about India. Back to home first. The girls and I tried baking cupcakes the other day. I have been in the baking mood since I started playing Baking Life on FB. So, I couldn’t say no to a baking invitation. We baked Chocolate Chips cupcakes. It was fun making them because we kind of mess up in the beginning. The butter wasn’t melted completely so, when we added the eggs, it coagulated. So, I suggested heating the mixture. Maybe that’s where we messed up the recipe. My fault it was.

Melting the butter and egg. Bad idea!

The end product was different. Different from what I thought it should be. Funny, because the cake did not rise but, it tasted good because of the dark chocolate chips. I love dark chocolates loads.

Chocolate chips looked delicious, though.

Michelle being the first to taste the cupcake!

When spending time with family and friends, it really hit me hard that I am going to miss them loads when I am away. I might be away for one year so, I am going to miss them very, very much. Then again, what’s life without separations, right?

I know this picture is blurr but, I love it. My face is not that round anymore!

Dear Lord, please protect and watch over my family and friends when I am away. Please take good care of them and please don’t let me feel so homesick in India. Thank you and I love you. In Jesus Christ name I pray, Amen.

Could never be better

Imagine waking up early in the morning and find out that your sister took an emergency leave just to spend time with you before you leave for studies could never be better. What more to say to a typical Foochow breakfast with my dad and sister in the early morning?

Of course, I had to postpone my breakfast plan with the girls. *Sorry, girls*

These few days had been awesome. In a way, in my previous post, I had learned to commit everything to God and let Him take control of everything. And it is the best thing to do because after I published my previous post, everything started to come together. My hostel matter was solved, my money matter was solved and even my luggage matter was solved! Everything was settled and I am so thankful because I had never been this peaceful before I leave home.

Praise the Lord!

I pray that today will be another awesome day. I don’t feel as sad and depressed as compared to before now. I guess I’d rather spend my last few days in the country being happy and grateful than to grieve in sorrow and pain.

No pictures for now because I’m in a rush but, the next time I’ll write, it’ll be something about my new chapter of life in India. So, stay tune!
